Back to the beach the next morning for some serious sun (I had SPF 45 on, so not much of a tan ensued) and reading (I had a 600-page Tom Clancy novel to read, and almost finished it). Here we see the jetski rental guys hanging around waiting for business to pick up.

There were not too many signs of indigenous wildlife on Paradise Island.

We did see some of these little birds, which might be sandpipers.

And there's no explanation for this strange and horrifying sea creature.

Despite occasionally disappearing behind some small waves, I had a blast in the gorgeous blue waters. Normally I hate natural bodies of water, eschewing the cold, the rocks and the seaweed for the less threatening climes of a pool. But in this case the ocean was warmer than the pool and absolutely pristine.
