Without any air conditioning in the building, this was sure to turn into a hot, sticky affair. But building services had a portable air conditioner brought into the main boardroom.




It didn't take long for the news staff to start generating a workable plan for who would do what, where and by when. But a lot of it was done by hand!




The production editor and national editor took over the one available whiteboard to keep track of what stories were being written, and where in the shortened paper they were meant to be placed.
