Walking back along Las Ramblas after nightfall.




On the way back to our hotel's neighbourhood I started trying to get artsy with the photos, with decidedly mixed results.




We stopped at one of the many sidewalk cafes and had a pitcher of Sangria that was many times stronger than anything we'd had up to that point. What you're seeing here is Emma's "I've been drinking" smile.




The next morning we were a little slow getting going thanks to "the Sangria incident" but we did get out to see some of the tourist highlights of the city, such as the Gaudi apartment building.




Unfortunately, late April/early May is not as off-season as we had thought, and there was a huge lineup to go on the tour inside the apartment building. This is the line literally going around the block.
