Janice had a suggestion of a place to go and check out in SoHo, but first we had a quick pedestrian tour of some New York landmarks before getting on the subway.

We wanted to go skating but we had only carry-on luggage for our flight, so we couldn't bring our skates.


[ Rice Pudding ]

The place we were checking out is Rice to Riches. Think Baskin-Robbins with rice pudding instead of ice cream. It was pretty tasty but a very strange consistency. I'm glad I tried it, because it improved my overall impression of rice pudding from the last time I had it, but I'm still not sure I'll be rushing back to do it again. (It was also very filling, which delayed out dinner plans a bit.)

It's too bad this picture didn't turn out better because Sean specifically wanted to capture this interesting pedestrian traffic signal.

Having split up from the rest of the group, Emma and I decided to head to Times Square, just to be all tourist-like.
