On this part of the drive, two things on the radio made me laugh. First, one station played the theme song to CHiPs in the background as they did their weather report. And second, another station played "Jump Around" by House of Pain. Blast from the past!

And finally, it is true what they say about Gilroy, California. It is the garlic (stench) capital of the world.




I was bound to come across one of these eventually.




This is another case of not really getting the shot I wanted, but liking the results anyway.




The second reason, besides crazy cliff driving, of having a rental car for the day was to end up in San Jose for a Sharks game.

Inside the HP Pavilion is what I can only assume to be San Jose's city crest. All hail broccoli!
