Driving into town I wanted to take some scene-setting shots of the skyline, but that's
actually not very effective when you're driving down a highway. It only took about 15
minutes to get from the airport to the city core, and I decided to take a little spin around
to get the lay of the land before going to the hotel.
The first interesting thing I came across was the newish central branch of the Seattle
Public Library. This shot doesn't do it justice, so I suggest you check this
out for more pictures. A visit to the inside is on my list for any return trip to the city.
Of course it didn't take long to catch a glimpse of the Space Needle. From there I steered
up a suspiciously steep hill towards my hotel, and began to realize that the city is
stupendously hilly. Ah, well. Good for the legs. On to the hotel...
