It was getting dark as we headed back across to England on the Severn bridge, with the second crossing visible in the distance.




The next day we headed from Kings Sutton to nearby Brackley, where Evan's employer was being fêted for winning the 2009 Formula 1 titles for top driver and team.




Team bosses Nick Fry and Ross Brawn arrive in significantly nicer style than the rest of the team, who rode in on open-top double-decker buses.




The man who gave the team his name for 2009 got a big round of applause from the crowd, and indeed it seemed the town held a lot of pride in having one of its major employers do well on the world stage; a result that was all the more remarkable given the team's gloomy outlook nearly a year earlier when it was still called Honda F1.




We wandered down the road from the town square to the Brawn factory. (No tours allowed, unfortunately.) We had to get this shot while we had the chance, as they will need a new sign for 2010.




As we headed back to our car, the team members who'd been part of the celebration arrived back at the factory.
