We felt we had to visit the main straw market in Nassau, despite the fact that it's mostly junk and you're constantly harassed by people trying to sell you things by calling you Honey and Sweetie and Buddy. Ironically, one of the things they were selling was a T-Shirt listing all the annoying things that vendors say to tourists in the Bahamas.




We had to check out the liquor stores, especially since rum is such a big deal there. I particularly liked the unattended sample table. The LCBO could learn something there, I think.




Parliament Square in downtown Nassau features the delightful colour scheme of pink-and-white, which I think would look fantastic on Parliament Hill.




It's total gridlock!
