As soon as we arrived at the hotel the skies opened up and there was a brief but powerful bit of rain. This had been in the forecast, which then called for nice days the rest of the week, so we weren't too worried about it.




Although it wasn't exactly beach weather, we were enthusiastic about getting onto the beach after seeing it from the balcony of our room.




Emma was also enthusiastic about the in-room alcohol selection.




We decided to head outside and see what the pool and beach were like.




Our first taste of the ocean. (Not literally - the water is insanely salty.)
