[ Girl getting braids ]

One thing that cannot be escaped, even at an all-inclusive hotel, is the myriad vendors trying to get you to buy or rent something. Be it parasailing, jetskis, bags, jewelry, trinkets, braiding or a whole whack of beverages. This girl took advantage of the $2-per-braid service - only needed 20 braids! What a steal compared to the crazy-haired woman we saw at the end of the week getting her hair braided in an effort that must have taken at least three hours and about 60 braids.

[ Time for a walk ]

We decided that one of our afternoons we should go for a little walk over to the other side of Paradise Island and take a boat over to downtown Nassau (which is cheaper than taking a cab).

I was happy to see that around here, the stick-figure people crossing the streets actually had hands and feet. (Unlike in Toronto.)

[ James Bond car ]

Walking our way around the island, I spotted this sign in the front window of a parked car. We had to investigate ...

[ Movie crew ]

... and found this assortment of crew and equipment for the filming of Casino Royale. Sadly, we couldn't see any actors as the filming location was on the other side of a gated golf and country club at the end of the road.

[ Picture car ]

But we did see them unloading this car - it looks to be a European model Ford. So look for it in the movie! (Alas, it's not cool enough for Bond to drive, so look for it way in the background.)
