We wanted to see a little of the waterfront before heading back to the hotel, a lot more tired than we'd hoped on our first day. This is the little we saw.

Before getting to bed at the end of what was in fact a very long day, I got this shot of the very bustling Robson Street. To the hotel's credit, we couldn't really hear any of the street noise with the balcony door closed.

Rise and shine! Emma's breakfast muffin stood in for a shot of something significant in the car the morning of Day Two, because, well, she was too busy eating the muffin to take a picture! We really needed to work on our last-minute camera preparedness!

We drove to Chilliwack, did the introductions with my dad, stepmom Paula and brother Ewen, and then hit the road for a short afternoon jaunt up the TransCanada Highway with Ewen in the back seat. We wanted to mark this fork in the road because the next time we'd pass through, we'd be taking the Coquihalla instead.

This was to be our first taste of the mountain-road viewpoint, heading up the TransCanada as it follows the Fraser through the first of the real mountains east of Vancouver.
