On the way through Hope, Ewen told us all about how the movie First Blood was filmed there, being the first in what came to be known as the Rambo series of movies. We had passed a wooden statue and thus, on the return trip, had to stop and confirm Ewen's theory that it was a statue of Sylvester Stallone. We thought it might not be. This is the moment when Ewen realizes he now owes us ice cream from Dairy Queen. (It was actually a statue a native man.)




We found this on the windshield of our car outside the grocery store later that day - at first we thought it was another ticket and couldn't believe it. Then we realized what it was and still couldn't believe it. Don't these people have anything better to do?

As we headed to bed for the night, we had a visitor trying to sneak in under the door.




Bright and early the next morning we headed to the Abbotsford Air Show. Ewen had some work to do, apparently.




One of the highlights of the show was getting to see the USAF jet demo team, the Thunderbirds.
