The basilica is still famously under construction hundreds of years later.

Once again Emma turns the tables and gets a photo of me taking a photo. In this case, I'm taking the photo above.




After seeing as much of it as we wanted to, we wandered over to an adjacent park and saw ... more of the basilica. Then we were swarmed by a busload of tourists and beat a hasty retreat to the subway.




I love the word funicular! This one goes from a subway station up to the foot of Montjuic, a large hill overlooking downtown and the harbour.
