Emma and I took five minutes after walking off our flight to go use the washrooms. Our flight was so small and the airport so sleepy that by the time we got to the baggage claim area, only our own bags were toodling around on the belt.




One of our first tourist stops on the Big Island was at >Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park (don't ask me to pronounce it), an archeological site that was once a refuge with temples and fish ponds.




The park service provides an awesome wheelchair to get around the sandy trails on the site.




There were lots of turtles, crabs, birds and fish hanging out in the park, along with this brightly coloured gecko.
