We stopped at quite a few "AutoGrill" highway rest stops on our various road adventures while I was there, but only one had a dog wandering around in the parking lot. Come to think of it, I saw almost NO wildlife in Italy the entire time I was there. I did see hunters though. Perhaps that's a clue ...
