There was one conference event on the Monday, a reception for attendees that gave us our first look at the LA Times building. It takes up pretty much an entire city block, so they set up signs around the periphery to get us towards the main entrance.

Found it.


At this point I stopped taking pictures because my hands were full with beer and food. It was also early to bed after a long travel day. The next morning we headed back to the Times for the first real day of the conference.

[ Sister cities ]

On the way to the Times from the hotel, we passed by the block that hold's LA's city hall, and on one corner they have this signpost for the long list of the city's sister cities. I was surprised to see Vancouver up there.
