In the lobby of the Times building they have a giant globe (man at right is further away but the scale is about right). I don't know why we didn't think of that. On the other hand, we don't have half the building they do.




One of the Times building's many fine qualities is a big auditorium that was perfect as the main hall of the conference.




Tuesday was the day that we'd all be going out for a swank dinner and I wasn't sure if I'd get a chance to change into the requisite nice clothes first or not, so I wore my suit to the conference (setting a bad precedent in the process, as it turns out). For the record, this is what I look like when I dress properly.
