Part of the $100 USD conference fee went towards feeding us every day. This was our box lunch. (I've refrained from photographing the contents because they weren't nearly as interesting as the box itself.)




Directly between the LA Times building and our hotel was a city block taken up with the new Caltrans building. It's got some pretty strange architectural features that I fear will look dated mighty soon.




As mentioned, the city hall building is close by as well, so I took a shot of it for the express purpose of linking to an LAPD badge, which features its distinctive outline.
