The guys were doing a whole lot of just standing around, although it sure seemed like they were about to do something interesting at any moment...
Unforunately it turned out they were intending to sit there all day if the guy in the bright red Ferrari suit wasn't going to move on. They were heard to loudly remark to one another that "Shorty" was hanging about, which Evan quickly deduced meant him, as his uniform says "E. Short." I found the ironic double-entendre about his height humorous, but I heard from a few other people that week that the McLaren guys are well-known for being short on sense of humour.
The wet pavement outside BAR's garages hinted at the on-and-off light rain that had been falling and probably some cleaning out of the garages too for that matter. Not much else happens at the track the other 360 days of the year.
Much of the Ferrari equipment was still under wraps, including these fuelling rigs.
Evan led us to the entrance of the Ferrari garage, with the caution that cameras aren't kosher inside, but that anything outside is OK.
