The whole time we were visiting the garage, an FIA guy was testing the signal system from Charlie Whiting's booth at the top of the starting grid. The starting lights and pit entry/exit lights were going on and off constantly.




At this point even the winners' podium wasn't set up yet.




As we wrapped up our visit, I got a shot looking back down the pit straight. Notice the bright red light at the pit exit. It would eventually play an important role in the race outcome.




Some of the Ferrari guys were leaving the track at the same time we were, and gave us a lift in their van back to the casino.




As we went to get our car from the casino's parking garage, we noticed they had a free breathalyzer set up. Somehow I doubt anybody ever uses it, except as a lark.
