After that, we headed to Laval to have dinner hosted by Cat's co-worker in Italy.

That wrapped up the Wednesday. The next time we were back in Montreal it was Sunday, race day.
We drove in from Ottawa on the morning of the race, stashing our car out in the west end of the city and then hopping on the Metro with dozens of other F1 fans, who quickly turned into thousands of other F1 fans.
We nearly missed the stop to get off for the track, expecting it to be Ile-Ste-Hélène. It seems to have been very recently renamed Jean Drapeau, although we noticed on the way home that the transfer machines still stay Ile-Ste-Hélène.
