We had a really good dinner with Stephanie and Shane's various friends and relations (me, Deanna, Fatima - who is taking the picture - and Karan), complete with no small amount of wine. For some strange reason, Stephanie felt obliged to cook the dinner despite having just arrived earlier that day from Toronto on one of those evil overnight flights I eschewed.




Any remaining doubt that I am going to hell was dismissed when I bought a bobblehead Jesus for Stephanie as a Christmas present. The cool part was the Bible keychain that came with it...




...which actually had the Bible printed in it. Maybe I'll be OK afterall.




I got up as early as I could manage, as quietly as I could manage, on New Year's day to do some more touristing downtown. Somewhere up there people are trying to get back to sleep.
