Andrew looks a little pained standing near the statue of what I believe is the first king of Norway.




I was just punchy from the jetlag.




The palace guards don't have to stand still like those at Buckingham Palace, in fact their duties seemed to require them to turn and face their colleagues in different directions on a regular basis (thus overcoming a flaw in the British system, I suppose). This guy failed to smile for the little girl but then again he didn't point his rifle at her either.




In the grounds around the side of the palace we found this poster stuck to a trash bin. The last line says "No moochers or freaky-deaky types." Amen.




What's wrong with today's youth? In my day, we hung out at the mall food court. These youngins appear to be playing lawn bowling. I weep for the future.
