Given the tone of the demonstration, we felt it best to keep our comments to ourselves - no doubt we would have been branded pinko commie Canadians for suggesting maybe the bailout would keep some of them employed.




I'm all for freedom of speech but I can't say I support bringing your children along and having them literally carry your political ideology.




We didn't end up spending any time at the capitol building itself, which was kind of boring.




The demonstration was happening on the steps of the War Memorial Building, which had a large courtyard at the centre with a nice classical statue.




The organizers were selling bumper stickers that said "Honk if you're paying my mortgage" -- which really confused me. If your mortgage is being paid out from the bailout, isn't that good for you? Why would you protest against that?
