They had statues honouring Tennessee's war dead from the Korean and Vietnam wars. I think the guy on the left is supposed to be shrugging off the straps of a parachute - either that or his arm was horribly mangled in combat. It's hard to tell.




Urban combat?




We were treated to lunch that day by Dirk, another Nashville blogger whom James had recently sucked into joining SB Nation's hockey fraternity.




Next it was time to visit the Country Music Museum and Hall of Fame!




The building is fairly large but it seems most of it is taken up with a large atrium and an archives area. The public displays run along these two narrow floors and through a larger area at the far end.
