This was the view from our hotel room, looking north towards the old downtown.




The first thing we did after checking in to the hotel was walk out on The Strip. This was my first requisite tourist photo.




It was already dinnertime when we arrived, but we wanted to see Penn & Teller first. That show was quite a lot of fun, actually. I'd seen bits and pieces of it on TV, and I must say they are just as entertaining in person. You can't beat yelling profanities at a small child. By the time that was done, we seriously needed dinner. So we had a hugely expensive meal at Fiore in the Rio hotel where the Penn & Teller show is.
