Back in Vancouver, for our last evening in B.C. I had wanted to capture this sign when we saw it earlier on the trip, but got my chance as we drove back into downtown for dinner.




Being the hip tourists that we were, we went to the hip tourist spot of Granville Island. We liked the ivy but skipped the brewery.




Can anyone explain to me why a box for cigarette ashes and butts could possibly need a lock on it, let alone two?

After dinner, we stopped for gas and snacks on the way back to the car rental place. There, a gas station employee solved the age-old riddle of who washes the carwash. That really only leaves the question of why a carwash needs cleaning in the first place as civilization's last great conundrum.
