Nearly at the top, you can see the shape of the canyon and the excellent rock-climbing fodder.

At the top of the trail at last. The lookout was a little anticlimactic, since the view from the top is of more canyons and more mountains. But we were happy to be there anyway.

OK, Mr. Director. We are ready for our close-up. (Note to self: get a haircut.)

The signs for the lookout feature a Lego man!


[ Sad flower ]

On the way back down, we came across this sad, lonely flower. Not long for this world, the bright spot of colour amongst the fall leaves was inspiring. Then I stomped it.
