After spending about an hour and a half at the snorkeling site off Molokini, where we saw lots of fantastic fish and a reef shark swim by beneath us, it was back on board the boat for some lunch and a nature talk with one of the boat's staff. Here comes the science!




The return voyage included a hotspot for green sea turtles, which were very popular with the tourists.




The turtles came right up to the boat. I'm not sure why; we weren't feeding them.




As we made the final leg back to the harbour, we came across the whales again, getting a much better view this time ...




... including the coveted fluke shot.
