At this point it was about 11am, with the race set to start at 1pm, and we were definitely not the first ones there!
When we were arriving, the Ferrari Challenge race was underway, and we caught a glimpse of them through a break in the stands as we wound our way around the track to find a spot to watch the race.
Being sub-millionaires, we had decided against shelling out for seats in the stands and took in the race from a spot where we could sort of see the cars going by, but more importantly were able to see one of the big TV screens (which you need to see anyway or else you have no idea what's happening in the race).
After staking out our spot, I wandered off to look at some of the vintage cars they had lined up to take the drivers around on their traditional lap of the circuit, so that the fans could gawk at them.
Some of the Ferrari Challenge contenders were limping a bit after their race ended. Lapped by a kid on a bike! How embarrassing!
