Crossing the Alps

Alitalia managed to get me into Milan about an hour and a half late, but
they never acknowledged this, or even bothered to explain why. Regardless, I
missed my connection in Milan. They had the nerve to act like they were
doing me a favour when they put me on the next flight, which was four hours
later. I wanted to let my sister know what was happening but I had forgot
her phone number (doh) so I tried to call my mother so she could relay the
message. Long story short: the local number you can call to get connected to
Canada by Bell calling card had changed. They didn't say what the new number
was, but they suggested you look it up online. The airport had internet
terminals, but they needed Italian phone cards. All the phone card
dispensers looked like this. F*ck.

We inform all passengers that due to Alitalia considering its posted
departure times to be nothing more than a whimsical suggestion, all
departing flights may be delayed.

I'd had enough.
