[ Canada in space? ]

Admittedly Great Britain doesn't have a huge claim to fame in the space travel department, but I found it surreal that the Canadian government sponsors a Canada In Space area in the British science museum. Worse still, it's a glorified closet (there is no more to it than you can see here).

[ Mika Hakkinen's smashed McLaren ]

McLaren, a Britain-based Formula One racing team, donated this race car to the museum after rebuilding it from parts recovered when Mika Hakkinen trashed it at a race in 1999. The display was all about safety innovations in the sport.

[ Overhead shot in the museum ]

The museum had an interesting section on transportation that touched on aviation only briefly because there's a whole wing dedicated to flight elsewhere in the building.

[ 747 cross-section ]

In the aviation part, they had a cross-section of a 747 that I thought was pretty neat. I would see this idea again in Munich at the Deutsches Museum in Munich.
